1986.
Crucial Trading was founded by David and Janet Green, born from the need for all natural flooring and innovative design. The use of natural material ranges boast a variety of styles, textures and colourways to provide customers with an opportunity to create their own unique interior design.
1987.
Our bespoke rug builder was first introduced in 1987, a unique service that allows customers to customise their rug to suit their exact requirements.
1988.
In 1988, we moved our London based offices to Shropshire to allow for the rapid growth and expansion of the business.
1989.
In 1989, our first showroom opened in Westbourne Park Road, London. It provided customers with a physical venue to explore and be inspired by our range of natural and innovative floor coverings. Just three years later, we opened our showroom on King’s Road, making our mark within Chelsea’s Design Quarter.
1991.
We moved our warehouse in 1991 from London to Mid-Wales to create more space in order to fulfil our increase in demand.
Present Day.
Crucial Trading continues to be a leader in innovative design that never compromises on quality, from trend-led carpets through to timeless classics – all crafted sustainably using natural materials. Now trading in over 13 countries around Europe, Asia Pacific and America, our continual growth has enabled us to provide superior service and the highest quality design solutions for homes and businesses.
